You Name It Blues: A Song History
"You Name It Blues" is one of the tunes in Steve Eulberg's Dulci-Bro: Method And Resources For Playing Resonator Dulcimer, an 84-page method for the resonator dulcimer published by Fingers Of Steel, whose listing says the method "combines dulcimer technique with traditional blues guitar styles."[1] It belongs to the book's group of tunes in D-F#-A-D tuning and fills pages 47 to 50 in four parts: a page of 7th chords followed by three separate melodies.[1] The sample page of Melody 2 shown on the listing is written in 4/4 time, in standard notation over four-string tablature with A7 and D7 chord symbols, and is credited to Steven B. Eulberg.[1]

Édouard Manet, The Guitarist, etching, 1861. Shown for its subject; it has no connection to the tune.
A 2018 post on the Owl Mountain Music website lists "You Name It Blues" under the heading of original tunes by Eulberg that feature in lessons on DulcimerCrossing, an online lesson site where Eulberg teaches.[2] In his DulcimerDownloads biography, Eulberg, who plays both hammered and mountain dulcimer, presents his work as keeping traditional material in circulation alongside his own compositions.[3] The sources consulted here give no date of composition and do not explain the title.[1][2]
