Unending Rain: A Song History
"Unending Rain" appears in Ellen Pratt's Ensemble Arrangements For The Mountain Dulcimer, Volume 1, which its listing presents as classical ensemble arrangements of moderate difficulty.[1] The listing gives the piece three dulcimer parts, all in DAD tuning, and the book's table of contents places it on pages 52 to 57.[1] Pratt's own store page for the volume calls it "Original and traditional multi-part arrangements for all levels."[2] The sources consulted here give no composer credit for "Unending Rain" and say nothing about the origin of the piece or its title.[1][2]

Pierre Bonnard, Street at Evening in the Rain, lithograph, 1899. Shown for its rainy street; it has no connection to the piece.
Pratt has performed at open mics and taught at festivals across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states, and she plays banjo as well as dulcimer.[3]
