Shelley Stevens

Shelley Stevens took up the mountain dulcimer in 1984, and much of her work has centered on showing how versatile the instrument can be by arranging music from many different genres for it.

She is the author many dulcimer books, and seventeen of them are published by Fingers Of Steel. Her many books cover the gamut of dulcimer repertoire, from classical music, Celtic melodies and American fiddle tunes to baritone and soprano duets and a guide to getting the most out of the 1½ fret.

Shelley has recorded several albums, both with the band Sweetwater and as a solo artist, and has taught mountain dulcimer workshops at festivals around the country as well as private lessons.
