Gone Fishin': A Song History

"Gone Fishin'" is an original mountain dulcimer tune by Karen Keane, a Shreveport, Louisiana, musician with a degree in music education who performs together with John Keane.[1][2] It is one of seven tunes listed in Lullabayou, a 49-page collection of her own compositions published by Fingers Of Steel, which the listing recommends to fingerpickers and flatpickers alike.[1] The sources consulted here do not say what inspired the title, and they mention no recording of the tune.[1][2]
