Crossroads And Trinkets: A Song History

← Back to Browse By Song

"Crossroads And Trinkets" is one of the fourteen pieces in DulciFlute 3, a book of duets for Native American flute and mountain dulcimer that John Keane and Karen Keane published through Fingers Of Steel.[1] The arrangement assumes a dulcimer in DAD tuning and a B-minor flute, and buyers receive the 26-page book as a PDF together with MP3 recordings of the music.[1] The Keanes, who come from Shreveport, Louisiana, both hold degrees in music education, and John Keane's DulcimerDownloads biography calls them "very active composers" whose own dulcimer and flute music fills several of their books and albums.[2] The product listing gives no composer credit for individual tunes, and the sources consulted here say nothing about when this piece was written, whether it has been recorded outside the book, or what its title refers to.[1][2]
