Catskill Mountain Waltz: A Song History
“The Catskill Mountain Waltz” is credited to Jay Ungar in the mountain dulcimer edition sold through his and Molly Mason’s own online store.[1] It belongs to Ungar and Mason’s book Catskill Mountain Waltzes and Airs, which gathers tunes they wrote over several decades, from pieces they had already performed or recorded to others never before published.[2] Retailers list the book as a Swinging Door Music publication containing 62 tunes.[3][4] The dulcimer edition offers 22 of those tunes in tablature, this one in DAD tuning.[1]
