Between Here And There: A Song History
"Between Here And There" is one of fourteen tunes in DulciFlute 2, the second volume of duets for mountain dulcimer and Native American flute from John and Karen Keane, published by Fingers Of Steel.[1] The listing presents the book as a collection of original pieces written for the two instruments to play as a pair, and it does not say which of the Keanes wrote any particular tune.[1] According to their DulcimerDownloads biography, the Keanes come from Shreveport, Louisiana, hold degrees in music education, and have composed a number of books and recordings of their own music for dulcimer and Native American flute.[2] The sources consulted here say nothing about how this tune came to be written or what its title refers to.[1][2]
