Back To The Glenns: A Song History

← Back to Browse By Song

"Back To The Glenns" appears in Tom McConnell's Music From The Heart, which its DulcimerDownloads listing calls "a book of original music" from him; the book, published by Airway Publishing, holds fifteen songs for mountain dulcimer, all in DAD tuning, with an MP3 recording of each.[1] His DulcimerDownloads artist page describes him as a hobbyist who plays mountain dulcimer, guitar, ukulele and some bass, and who labels his music "acoustic folk" while borrowing from folk, Americana, blues, bluegrass and a little jazz.[2] Beyond that credit, the sources consulted here say nothing about what "the Glenns" of the title refers to, how the tune came about, or any recording outside the book.[1][2]
