After The Storm: A Song History

Karen Keane composed "After The Storm," one of her original pieces for the mountain dulcimer.[1][2] A musician and music educator from Shreveport, Louisiana, she performs together with John Keane.[2] The tune appears in Lullabayou, a Fingers Of Steel book whose seven listed tunes are all credited to her, and which its listing recommends to fingerpickers and flatpickers alike.[1] Beyond that composer credit, the sources consulted here say nothing about how the tune came about and point to no recording of it.[1][2]
