Melanie Johnston has done it again! With 22 amazing arrangements of Jay Ungar and Molly Mason's songs (from their "Catskill Mountain Waltzes" book), this selection of mountain dulcimer tablature is just what the fiddle player ordered!

The audio files (in MP3 format) are computer-generated from the dulcimer tablature - they're created with a piano sound, and will let you hear "how it goes" for each song.

With your purchase, we'll email you a link so that you may download the PDF. The PDF file is in ZIP format - you'll need to unzip the file after your download is complete.

After you've extracted the files from your ZIP folder, you can print the sheet music, or enjoy it on your tablet or PC.

excellent book

Waltzes are well suited to the dulcimer and these are beautiful engaging arrangements with a good balance of chord and finger picking.

Lovely arrangements of beautiful tunes

I really like this book. Every tune is a winner and is nicely arranged. -- it's more than just strumming. They're relatively easy songs, but still have some intricacy to them, and you do need to practice to get them sounding their best. I do wish you could see a sample before you buy -- it would give you an idea whether the purchase suits you or not. The price is reasonable too.

Beautifully Tabbed Book

I received the music book, “Catskill Mountains Waltzes and Airs” and immediately sat down to strum through the pages. Some of the songs were familiar because I have long been a fan of Jay Ungar. Those I was not familiar with, I found online and was able to play, listen and learn the tune and rhythm. I love them all! Now I have an entire collection of new songs, beautifully tabbed, to learn and enjoy.
