A whole course on Bass Dulcimer with sound files!

This book and the accompanying sound files are everything I needed (besides the bass dulcimer) to get well on my way playing bass with others or just getting into the groove myself.

Lots of genre examples to play along with (really helped with figuring out the timing on the written notation) - these sound files are the actual songs, not just the bass part, so you can get a real feel for how the bass interacts with the other parts. They also help you learn to anticipate how to play bass to the other songs you play. I think I'll keep coming back to this book and the sound files as I expand on my repertoire.

Plus a big bonus is the gear section at the end of the book - what you need and how to use it!

Good start for bass playing at jam sessions.

Like the title says, this book will get you started understanding how bass fits into the song.

Method for Bass dulcimer

Just arrived, ready for my Bass to arrive. The audio files really sold it for me. The book looks to be straight forward as the sample pages showed. I’ll report back more after I get to dig into it.

Bass DULCIMER (BING FUTCH)

As usual Bing keeps things pretty simple.

I have other books by BING
Learned alot about the fretboard, pickup amplifiers and more.

I also had to get a L R Braggs acoustic D.I. because I didn't have a preamp in my dulcimer I just had a standard pickup.

I enjoy the exercises in the books

Over all it is a very good book very educational.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking forward are to playing the bass dulcimer.
